Meet the Editors

Itzu is a senior at Rocky Mountain College double majoring in psychology and creative writing. Wanting to use her psychology degree to help people in need, she hopes to also strengthen her writing skills to one day feel worthy enough to publish for the public. Her fiction works focus on themes of loss, identity, and oddities that spawn from her brain. While she only has two cats so far, Itzu hopes to own a cat sanctuary—in other words, to become a crazy cat lady.

Bre is a first-generation college student and biology major in her senior year at Rocky. She hopes to attend grad school to become a physician assistant specializing in dermatology. Bre loves writing creative nonfiction where she can emotionally connect with the narrators of her pieces. Her most notable accomplishment is her role in leading her high school golf team to four consecutive state championships. When Bre is not working on her career path, you can most likely find her with her English bulldog, Oakley.

At the rockin’ age of forty, Pamela is a first-generation college student and in her final year at RMC. Her untamed determination to pursue a BA in English with a concentration in creative writing, a BS in political science, and minor in pre-law will surely prove to her five children that moms really are super cool. Pamela and her family live in one of Roundup’s oldest houses, 115 years, and yes, it’s occupied by the undead. Her favorite book is The Constitution of Knowledge by Jonathon Rauch. Pamela died once and her father made her walk it off.

Hunter is a senior at Rocky, double-majoring in creative writing and communications. Additionally, he is an offensive lineman for Rocky’s football team and helps with writing media articles for Rocky’s athletic department. After college, he plans to become a sports journalist. In his work, he focuses on how characters interact with their environment and strives to make them feel like more than just fictional names. He loves Metallica and has seen the band live three times. He even has a complete ranking, in order, of all the songs the band has ever produced.
Kenzie is a senior at Rocky, double majoring in psychology and creative writing. She hopes to become a full-time writer, publish a novel, get on The New York Times bestseller list, and sign a deal with Reese Witherspoon Book Club. If you ask, she will tell you she liked Taylor Swift before she was cool and ranks going to the Eras tour as the top five best days of her life next to her wedding day. She rewatches the Harry Potter movies every fall leading up to Christmas with her husband, two dogs, and now her newborn daughter.
